Lighting Control

With Kohost’s lighting control, teachers and staff can adjust the lighting in their classrooms or specific areas to create the right environment for learning. Whether you need brighter lights for activities or dimmer settings for presentations, it’s all at your fingertips. Administrators can also manage lighting across larger areas or the entire school, ensuring that rooms are only lit when in use, which helps reduce energy consumption. This makes it easy to control lighting on a classroom or campus-wide level without needing to manually switch lights on and off.

How to control lighting

1. In your Kohost Homepage, click My Classroom.

2. Click the Lights Section.

3. Click "Select a room" in the top right of your screen and select the area you would like to control.

4. Toggle between on and off with the toggle switch.

5. If your hardware supports dimmability, Select your brightness with the slider at each zone.

6. Control every zone in your room with one click at the bottom with "Room On" or "Room Off".

7. If either "Room On" or "Room Off" is displayed in yellow, the entire room is in that state.

Full Building Control:

1. In the "Select a room" dropdown, select Building.

2. View the state of each zone from one interface instead of switching between rooms or zones.

3. Control every zone and room in your building with one click at the bottom with "Building On" or "Building Off".

4. If either "Building On" or "Building Off" is displayed in yellow, the entire building is in that state.
