Media Control

Need to adjust the projector or turn on the speakers for a presentation? Kohost simplifies media system management, allowing teachers to control devices like TVs, projectors, interactive boards, and speakers with just a few clicks. Whether you’re in the classroom or setting up for a school event, you can quickly switch between inputs, adjust volume, or turn devices on and off without needing to manually access the equipment.

How to control media:

1. In your Kohost Homepage, click My Classroom.

2. Click the TV Section.

3. Click "Select a room" in the top right of your screen and select the area you would like to control.

4. Kohost will function as your remote for the specific media module being controlled.

   • Below are examples of Kohost remote capabilities, what appears on each portal's screen may vary:

     • The Navigation Pad with the four arrows allows a user to swipe up, down, left, or right on the screen. Tap the center of Navigation Pad to select.

     • The up and down channel arrows will control your channel input.

     • The up and down volume arrows will control your volume input.

     • The volume slider will control your volume input.

     • The power button will toggle your power on or off.

     • The rest of the buttons will perform their respective function just like the handheld remote.

Full Building Control:

1. In the "Select a room" dropdown, select Building.

2. Control every media module in your building with one click by clicking "Power On" or "Power Off".

3. Switch every input at once by selecting the preset options (ex: Netflix, Prime Video, etc.)

4. Adjust the volume throughout the building by dragging the slider.
